PT 8.57 Features & Enhancements

PeopleTools 8.57 is out and available for customers who are in Oracle cloud. It will be available for On-prem customers in Jan 2019.

Oracle is investing and making lot of improvement with major PT releases. It is packed with enhancement & Features here are some of the highlights:

• Allowing users to setup conditional Notification on Analytics when the condition was met. E.g. On a HCM attrition chart if for the month attrition is more than 10% then it would send out notification to HR Team.

• Define something called as “Drop zones” on fluid pages which would allow customers to put custom fields on the page which will not be considered customization and will not be impacted by life-cycle maintenance.

• Fluid Grid Enhancements where it will allow to download Grid data on fluid pages just like classic.

• Fluid Page preview can be done from App Designer

• Branding enhancement allows now customers to put Company Info

• Search allows Multi-facet filter

• Kibana Analytics is available now for search indexes  and Elasticsearch performance

• Dynamic Page Field Masking is available on pages

• JSON schema is now supported on REST

• PS Cipher encryption algorithm now supports AES-128 but encryption

• Fluid Chat window is available now for Multi-channel framework

• CI Based REST services are supported now

• In App Engine you can do trace on temp tables

• Notification are enhanced to be viewed as Master/Detail format

• Peoplecode editor provides Event Mapping button in the Application Designer toolbar as a visual indicator
